Guest Bathroom Remodel | Orlando, FL
This guest bathroom remodel in Orlando was built around clean lines and smart storage, two things that guest bathrooms in older homes rarely have enough of. The scope covered the full room from the vanity wall to the tub surround to the floor, and included a custom built-in shelving unit that converted otherwise wasted wall space into organized open storage the homeowners actually use every day.
The floating vanity is a gray cabinet with a continuous integrated quartz countertop that runs the full width of the vanity and includes two undermount sinks in a single seamless surface. Matte black faucets sit at each sink, and the backsplash behind the vanity is a white tile installed vertically in straight stacked lines that runs floor to ceiling and gives the wall a quiet texture that keeps the space from feeling flat. A large LED backlit mirror with a matte black frame spans the vanity, and a two-bulb vanity light bar in brushed nickel provides additional task lighting above it.
The tub and shower combo was retiled with white subway tile on all three walls laid in straight horizontal lines from the tub deck to the ceiling. A recessed niche backed with a gray and white hexagon mosaic tile is built into the back wall with a matte black trim detail, and the shower head and tub fixtures are matte black throughout. LED color-changing recessed lights are installed in the ceiling of the tub surround, a detail that gives the space a quality that you do not expect in a guest bath. A curved matte black shower curtain rod finishes the enclosure.
The custom built-in shelving unit occupies a recessed wall niche beside the tub, with open shelves painted in a soft gray that matches the room and enough vertical space at the bottom for hampers and baskets. It replaced what would have been blank wall space and turned it into the most functional storage area in the bathroom.
The floor throughout is marble-look porcelain tile in a soft white and gray palette that ties the vanity wall and the tub surround together into a single cohesive room.
