Primary Bathroom Remodel | Winter Springs, FL

This primary bathroom in Winter Springs had all the hallmarks of a late 90s build that had never been touched. A corner drop-in tub surrounded by small white four-by-four tile, Saltillo tile on the floors, and thermofoil cabinet doors on the vanity. It was dated in every direction and the client was ready for a complete change.

Everything came out. The Saltillo tile, the corner tub, the thermofoil cabinets, all of it. What replaced it is a bathroom built around a consistent brushed gold fixture package and a layered tile selection that uses three different materials in a way that feels intentional rather than busy.

The walk-in shower is large format marble-look porcelain tile on all three walls with a decorative mosaic liner running horizontally at mid-height, adding a subtle band of texture without interrupting the overall calm of the space. The shower floor is a pebble mosaic in warm gray tones with a linear drain, and a recessed niche backed with a basketweave mosaic tile provides storage on the side wall. A brushed gold wall-mount shower head and single control valve complete the fixture package. The shower entry is open with no door or glass enclosure, giving the space a clean walk-in feel.

The drop-in tub was rebuilt in its own alcove with a surround clad in a warm wood-look linear tile that shifts the tone of the tub area away from the cooler marble of the shower and gives each zone its own identity. The tub deck is tiled in the same material and topped with a brushed gold deck-mount tub filler with cross handles, and a brushed gold drain and overflow finish the detail. A mosaic tile border runs the perimeter of the tub ledge tying back to the shower liner and pulling the two spaces together.

The vanity is an L-shaped custom dark stained brown shaker cabinet with brushed gold hardware that wraps the corner of the room, with a white quartz countertop running continuously across both sides and two undermount sinks. A large LED backlit mirror sits above each sink section with touch controls, providing clean even lighting across the full vanity wall. The floor throughout the bathroom is large format marble-look porcelain tile in a soft white and gray palette that unifies the space from the shower to the tub to the vanity.

This is a bathroom that went from one of the most dated in our portfolio to one of the most layered and well-finished. The before and after gap on this one is significant.
