Laundry Room Remodel in Windermere, FL

This Windermere laundry room started with a clear vision from the client, and the result is a hard working space that carries the same finish level as the rest of the home.

The folding and sink run is topped in Calacatta Lux quartz, finished with a waterfall edge that drops to the floor where the counter meets the appliances. The veining moves gray and white across the surface in soft sweeping lines that give the space its center. A deep Ruvati fireclay sink sits under a champagne bronze pulldown faucet, ready for the messy work a laundry room actually sees.

Behind the run, a full height picket tile backsplash runs the wall in a clean elongated pattern. The glossy finish bounces light from the fixtures and keeps the room bright from counter to ceiling. A brass hanging rod mounts beneath the uppers for hang dry items, a small detail that earns its place every day.

The cabinetry was the anchor of the room. We brought in one of our local custom cabinetry partners to build and install it, sized to fit the exact dimensions of the space with full upper and lower storage. Soft greige doors and warm metal hardware tie the room to the home without competing with the quartz.

The original floor was replaced with a smoother porcelain tile, chosen after the previous surface proved hard to keep clean. The new tile wipes down easily and stands up to daily traffic, which matters more in a laundry room than almost anywhere else in the house.

Every choice in this room was made for how the client wanted to use it, and the finish holds up to the rest of the home it sits in.
