Primary Bathroom Remodel | Orlando, FL

This primary bathroom on Osceola Avenue in Orlando is a full gut remodel built around a single material carried through every surface in the room. Carrara marble runs the floor, the shower walls, the vanity tops, the water closet walls, and the dramatic full-height accent wall behind the freestanding tub. The consistency of that material across every plane is what gives the room its character, and the brushed gold fixture package ties it all together without interrupting it.

The freestanding soaking tub sits centered in front of a book-matched Carrara marble accent wall that runs floor to ceiling. The veining on that wall is bold -- deep gray and near-black streaks cutting diagonally across the stone -- and it gives the bathroom a focal point that holds the room together the way a great piece of art holds a room together. A brushed gold freestanding tub filler completes the setup.

The shower was built with large format Carrara marble tile on all four walls, a marble basketweave mosaic floor with a brushed gold drain, and a full body jet system alongside a wall-mount rain head and hand shower on a slide bar, all in brushed gold. A recessed niche backed with a decorative geometric mosaic in gray and white sits flush in the shower wall, and a built-in marble bench runs along the back. The frameless glass enclosure keeps the view open.

Both vanities are white furniture-style cabinets with carved detail work and brushed gold hardware, topped with Carrara marble and undermount sinks. Brushed gold bridge faucets, gold-framed pivot mirrors, and paired wall sconces complete each vanity wall. The water closet has its own separate entry and is finished with Carrara marble subway tile wainscot, large format marble floor tile, a pedestal-style toilet, and brushed gold accessories throughout.

The floor across the entire bathroom is large format Carrara marble in a herringbone layout, and crown molding runs the full perimeter of the room and the water closet. Every detail in this bathroom was chosen to serve the material rather than compete with it, and the result is a primary suite that feels genuinely luxurious without trying too hard to say so.
